New Consciousness

This project is about showing representation in environmentalism. Whilst carrying out my initial research I discovered an article by National Geographic talking about people of colour being excluded from environmentalism. From this, I found Leah Thomas and through her I found many people talking about Intersectional Environmentalism - Which is an inclusive version of environmentalism that advocates for both the protection of people and the planet.

After learning so much I really wanted to highlight three amazing women in particular, I thought the best way to do this was in a fact file format. I also created an Instagram featuring these portraits and infographics: @neconsciousness
