The Tale of the Killerlouse

This project started from wanting to continue using my character Woody the Woodlouse to tell a different type of story. I'm a fan of horror movies, especially slashers and thought it'd be funny to take this originally wholesome woodlouse and turn it into a human killer. The reason the woodlouse has such a hatred towards humans is due to its loved ones getting killed by oblivious humans.

My outcome for the project is a short booklet depicting the key moments in the woodlices development to a killler. I had fun experimenting with different mediums within this project. I learnt how to linocut/print, and the cover of my booklet outcome is lino print. The pages within the booklet are a mix of my pro-marker illustrations and photography. In order to finalise my booklet's narrative, I made a collage storyboard using my illustrations and photographs.
