Woody the Woodlouse

For this project, I was asked to show something which has a positive impact on the environment. The brief had a prompt which asked how we got taught about things such as recycling when we were kids. This made me think about memories with my dad and I remembered having a 'pet' woodlouse that we called Woody.

My animation tells the story of woody trying to find a home. And how the care of a human creating a town for the woodlice, makes them all happier.

I filmed the footage in my childhood garden, building houses for bugs similar to the ones I did as a child. I edited it in Premiere Pro and added my moving pro-marker illustrations using After Effects.
